Energy Audit of 54  Pumping Stations of Mumbai. using Datamatrix Technology.

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) handles the sewage of 10 million residents of Mumbai. The Datamatrix technology-aided audit makes it possible to carry out an Investment grade audit and linking it to the real time performance of 54 sewage pumping stations and WWTF of Mumbai.. The improved clarity in the saving opportunities is expected to rope in several Energy Service Companies (ESCO) for the performance improvements.

MCGM has already deployed the Datamatrix technology successfully at  the Bhandup Water Works at Mumbai, for continuous performance monitoring. Bhandup water works caters to the majority of the pure water needs of the city of Mumbai.

Pune Municipal Corporation extends Datamatrix technology to other pump houses

Pune is the 8th largest city in India and is the major hub for engineering industries. This city is has twin corporations catering to Pune city and the Pimpri Chinchwad Industrial area. A pilot project was undertaken in the year 2003 to implement Datamatrix technology at Parvati water works. Having convinced about its utility, Pune Municipal Corporation has placed an order for implementation of Datamatrix technology at their four additional pumping stations.

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has also placed an order for implementation of Datamatrix technology at their largest pumping station. This technology will help to monitor and optimize the performance of all pump houses connected to it and remotely manage them.
